Début des années 70’, les droits civiques des noirs aux États-Unis passent souvent à la trappe, voire se termine en émeute raciale. C’est dans ce contexte que le jeune Ron Stallworth, débarque au Colorado Spring Police Departement. Sa coupe de cheveux afro ne passe pas inaperçu, même s’il est cantonné aux archives. Cependant, les choses doivent évoluer dans ce pays en neutralisant, notamment le Ku Klux Klan. Cela passe par une infiltration pour surveiller leur veillée d’armes autour d’une croix en flamme. Ron Stallworth ambitieux, va joindre la délégation locale en affirmant que la suprématie blanche doit être le rêve américain. Ainsi commence la surveillance la plus hippique.
« BlacKkKlansman : j’ai infiltré le Ku Klux Klan » tiré d’une histoire vraie est traitée sur le ton de la comédie, même si la dangerosité du sujet aurait pu amener le réalisateur Spike Lee à plus de radicalité. Ici, on est loin de la tension du fameux « Do the Right Thing » (1989), mais ce nouvel opus pour dénoncer le racisme fait mouche ! Néanmoins Spike Lee passe sous silence le communautarisme dans son propre pays qui sévit depuis fort longtemps. Il tombe dans la facilité en montrant le tragique fait divers du 12 août 2017 ou une voiture fonçant dans la foule, faisant un mort et 19 mots, en marge d’un rassemblement du Ku Klus Klan. Les images sont inutiles pour marteler le propos de son film à mon sens.
« BlacKkKlansman : j’ai infiltré le Ku Klux Klan » a bien mérité le Grand Prix du Jury au dernier Festival de Cannes 2018.

In the early 70s, the civil rights of blacks in the United States often go by
the wayside, or even ends in a racial riot. It is in this context that the young
Ron Stallworth, arrives at the Colorado Spring Police Department. His afro
haircut does not go unnoticed, even if it is confined to the archives. However,
things must evolve in this country by neutralizing, including the Ku Klux Klan.
This goes through an infiltration to watch their vigil of arms around a cross in
flame. Ambitious Ron Stallworth, will join the local delegation in stating that
white supremacy must be the American dream. Thus begins the most equestrian
surveillance.
"BlacKkKlansman: I infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan" drawn from a true story is
treated in the tone of comedy, even if the dangerousness of the subject could
have led the director Spike Lee to more radical. Here, we are far from the
tension of the famous "Do the Right Thing" (1989), but this new opus to denounce
racism is a hit! Nevertheless, Spike Lee ignores the communitarianism in his own
country, which has been rife for a long time. It falls into the ease by showing
the tragic news item of August 12, 2017, or a car driving through the crowd,
making a death and 19 words, on the sidelines of a Ku Klus Klan rally. The
images are useless for hammering the purpose of his film in my opinion.
"BlacKkKlansman: I infiltrated the Ku Klux Klan" earned the Grand Jury Prize at
the last Cannes Film Festival 2018.
